This week we found family bingo nights happening in Sussex, New Berlin, and Mukwonago, a custom candle workshop at The Tap Yard on Wednesday, plus a Summer Family Night at Chick-fil-A Menomonee Falls and a wine tasting event in Delafield on Thursday night. Not a bad week to get out of the house.
We’re also pretty excited about the new Backyard Coffee Camper launching this weekend at Mama D's Coffee in Wales. Coffee, patio music, ice cream treats, and summer weather? Yeah… that sounds like a solid weekend combo to us. If you haven’t heard yet, there’s a new bakery in town that’s already getting people talking. Turkey & The Toad officially opened in Pewaukee a few weeks ago, taking over the former Beach Bum Bakery location, and it looks like the perfect excuse for a cookie run this week.
They specialize in gourmet cookies, weekend donuts, cakes, and Sunday hot ham & rolls (which honestly sounds dangerously good). Congrats to Alexis and Nathan on the new spot! If you’re out around Pewaukee this week, this might be your sign to stop in and treat yourself.

Looking for something fun to do this week? A candle-making pop-up is coming to The Tap Yard this Wednesday evening, and honestly, this sounds like a pretty perfect midweek outing.
Waxed Candle Bar will be there from 4PM–9PM, where you can create your own custom candle by choosing your favorite vessel and blending a scent that’s uniquely yours. No experience needed, just show up, relax, and enjoy the process.
Not feeling crafty? No worries. They’ll also have a curated selection of hand-poured candles available for purchase while you hang out and enjoy the atmosphere at The Tap Yard.

Mama D’s Backyard Camper In Wales
Mama D’s Is Launching a Backyard Coffee Camper This Weekend
There’s a fun new summer addition coming to Mama D's Coffee this weekend, and honestly, this feels like peak Wisconsin summer vibes.
Starting Saturday, May 23, Mama D’s is opening their new Backyard Camper, a mobile coffee camper parked right behind the café for the summer season. They’ll be serving grab-and-go treats like Mullen’s Dairy Bar ice cream sandwiches, bottled drinks, and select bakery favorites from Mama D’s.
Even better? This weekend also kicks off their summer music series on the patio from 11AM–1PM featuring performances by Kettle Moraine High School Honors Society musicians. There will also be a special Memorial Day performance on Monday, May 25.
